ADVERTISING THREADS THAT MAY BE SPAM
Hey, all. I'm just wondering if I am reacting properly.... Please let me know.
Over the past few months, I've been noticing threads that pop up in various forums that seem like spam. They are always adverts for nutritional supplements and the like, so I pretty much assumed they were from companies spamming the site to piggyback on the grace of 7 Cups to make a few bucks. I keep flagging them as inappropriate, but it finally struck me that maybe I should get a confirmation from someone in Admin before I continue to do so.
Should I continue to flag them, or are they okay or even supported by the site?

I flag a fair bit of spam and I do see it deleted, so I think flagging is the correct action to take! If you have questions about the forums you can ask a forum mentor but they don't delete just because a member has flagged someone else's posts (usually).

Yes they are spam and are to be ignored. You can flag them when you see them and a Forum Mentor will remove them ASAP.
