Guest accounts

I hope i am writing this post in the right forum section.
I want to express my disappointment regarding the fact that we can't reach a listener with a guest/anonymous account. What i always liked about 7 cups has been the confidentiality feature.
I haven't looked for a listener in a long time, but it's so disappointing that we must have an account/use an account that people on the site know - to get support. I can understand that some people misuse the guest accounts, but I personally think that not being able to find a listener in a totally anonymous way is a huge step back from what 7 cups was. Maybe having an account should be necessary for chat rooms- as people who get banned may return fast with a new guest account, but i think this shouldn't be the case when trying to find a listener.
Not feeling like using this old account that people know to express my deepest feelings, maybe others feel the same.
@DarkCoffee I think it is the right forum section. Being unable to get help anonymously is a safety issue.
It is, in fact, possible to reach a listener with a guest account. I have chatted to guests quite recently. But unfortunately I don't know how they managed to do it.
Confidentiality, however, is not affected by this change of 7 Cups' policy. Chats between members and listeners are just as confidential as chats between guests and listeners.
People who make multiple accounts are not slowed down much by the need to invent fake e-mail addresses, so that cannot possibly be the reason guest accounts are now so difficult. No one seems to be willing to explain what the real reason for it is. I therefore assume that the reason is shameful in some way, and that for that reason no one wants to admit to it.

Thank you, I should have said anonimity-instead of confidentiality- my bad.
I was saying that because today I tried to find a listener with a guest account and it asked me to create an account, so I assumed teh "guest" "anonymous" feature was not available anymore.

I chatted with someone last night. I can't see the difference any longer between a guest account or a member account, at least as of last night. The guest account icon used to be square and the member account icon was a bit more rounded, around the edges. I assumed it was a member that was seeking me that had only been here for 3 days. They corrected me, told me that they were a member that has been here for 5 years, but they also recently decided to create a guest account and they were using their guest account last night. From what they said to me, it seems that somehow it can still be done?
I seemed to have lost the ability around the time the homepage changes were made.
@7CupsCommunity are we supposed to still be able to chat as a guest? If so, how do we access this option?

We have received various feedback on guest accounts. At the present time guests can browse our public forums and the Q&A section, but cannot access group support rooms. Certain browsers will not allow guests to connect to a listener and will prompt a sign in.
