Horoscopes? Insightful or Harmful?

I see that a lot of people I encounter follow horoscopes almost religiously. I am somewhat spiritual but I don't knock anything before I try it. I think that there are good....and bad things about horoscopes.

I find that many people use them to describe their quirks and personality traits. Some may find reading their horoscopes in the morning helps them start out their day, like a nice cosmical cup of joe.

I believe that horoscopes are like reading a positive affirmation when used for the good. However, horoscopes aren't always positive. They can cause irrational fears if depended on too much. I have witnessed some to justify their negative behaviors as part of their horoscope. For instance, "My boyfriend/girlfriend has a temper because she/he's a Fire sign."

I believe that horoscopes are fun to glance out every now and then. But sometimes I all inclusive, and one thing can be read as relatable to anyone born at anytime of the year.

All in all, these are merely my own thoughts and I would like to hear your own ramblings on this subject.

So...what's your sign? Do you follow your horoscopes? Are you a skeptic or a believer? Can't wait to hear from you guys.

@competentUnicorn21

I used to like reading horoscopes (I'm an Aries) for fun, but they started being repetitive and it's just a random "prediction" that may apply to most people's lives because it's so vague. The alignment of stars do not change your future/fate. Only you can do that. I think they're more harmful than insightful.

I moved this thread to a new area where it might fit better :)

As for my views on horoscopes, I tend to agree that they can be entertaining, but I don't put a lot of faith in them outside of for fun

If your Horoscope says- "Today fortune follows you" I WOULDN'T suggest buying $200 in Lottery tickets. I'm a Skeptic!

I'm a Taurus...as far as the personality traits and all that jazz, it's pretty effing spot on for me. My boyfriend is a Leo, and he's the most introverted, passive Leo I've ever met in my life. Or he's just weird.

As for horoscopes, mehh. Once in awhile I read them to see what they say. I sometimes get mad if I'm having a terrible day and it tells me it'll be the best day of my life. Then I just think someone is being spiteful. lol.
