Transgender Support
My partner recently cam out as transgender and I suggested that they come on 7 cups for support. But they, and others, have been telling me that the people who are listed at LGBT+ listeners often aren't prepared to deal with transgender issues, and that they wish there was a seperate category for it. Is there a way I could make this happen? I want this to be a place I can refer people too feeling sure they'll be able to get the help they need.
I agree! If you don't have much experience with it it can be hard to feel helpful when someone is going through that.
I mean overall I wish the topics were more detailed and less broad. Or maybe have subcategories. Like under the LGBTQ+ umbrella there can be Transgender support included, and a listener doesn't have to check that subcategory if they don't feel like they can help with that specific topic. It would surely save a lot of time and frustration when looking for a listener.
I heard there's a suggestion box or something, do they actually read it?

@Phthalo and @UntilThen That really is a great idea! As much as we want to give as much support as we can, sometimes we can affer sympathy like others who have experienced the same things we have gone through

I wrote a suggestion but I don't know if they read those or if they'll consider it. Maybe if we got other people to ask about it as well they'd prioritize it.
