Why did I get a warning?!

So I just got a warning for swearing it asterisked it as I said the word that is opposite to heaven to describe how much pain I'm in and was told off for mentioning that I was on a specific pain killer so wasnt completely mentally able at the moment.

Please explain why I was given a warning for simply explaining I was on a high medication that is entirely legal and given to me by my dr and how that is harmful to others and why that warrants a warning?!

Ells- It's simply one of the Rules. We're not allowed to mention the names of specific medications. If you got a Warning, that means a Moderator witnessed that, and followed procedure. I can tell your upset... but 1 warning over an honest mistake does not place your account in jeopardy. Just review the Rules, and all is fine 🙂

For the swearing it sounds like that was just the automatic censor and not a warning. Sorry if I'm misunderstanding that. I don't mind the censor too much when it's just picking up swears, as it allows me to speak my mind more freely without upsetting people. I do think censoring the word you used is a bit excessive. You're still free to use it in the chats though, as long as it's not used against someone, but it will just appear as ****.

As for the medication names - I'm really frustrated by how that's being handled. There was a trial where it was allowed for a while but many mods didn't give it a fair chance, they just kept deleting comments even though it was allowed for a while :/

In the future, if you want to avoid warnings we are allowed to use classes of meds. So I will often refer to things like NSAIDs, opiates, etc. in the chat as a way to discuss things without breaking the rules.

Warnings do expire, so it is not a permanent mark against you.

If you swear, including the word you used, the system will automatically hide it with asteriks. It's okay to do that. :) But if you change the spelling of the word to avoid those asteriks, then you can receive a warning.

It is against the rules to mention specific medication names too, which is why you got a warning. The warning will be removed from your account after 6 hours. If you get 3 warnings, you will be muted for 24 hours in the chat rooms.
