Profile Flagging - PHOTOS (PLEASE READ)
Hi, team!
There's been confusion about what determines an inappropriate display photo. I would like to clarify what is/isn't allowed.
CARTOONS
We're not as strict as we used to be in terms of cartoons, so as long as they are not inappropriate, they are fine.
CELEBRITIES
Does not need to be flagged unless it is clearly an impersonation.
SUGGESTIVE/SEXUAL
Examples of suggestive photos include: shirtless photos, bare midriffs, and anything that looks over-sexualized. Check the bio too if you're unsure to see if there's any sexual content.
When in doubt, send the username to @Power or myself, and we'll review it.
Let me know if you have any questions!
@Heather225 If cartoon pictures are being allowed, why not change the profile settings information to reflect that?
@AffyAvo
Thank you for reminding me of the settings. We need to change that and to update the Community Guidelines. I'll be passing all this along. Thank you!
@Heather225 Great! I think the guidelines will be taken more seriously when it's clear that all that are posted are meant to be followed.
@Heather225 thankies for the clarification! c:
Thanks Heather :)

@Heather225, I feel silly asking this question. I do know how to block members or listeners who have been inappropriate, but I don't know how to flag them, is there a difference between flagging and blocking? Can you please explain how? Any information will be very much appreicated, thanks!
@Freedomtochoose Not everyone has the flagging ability. There's a team, only listeners, hopefully someone else can direct you to the requriements.
I hope that in the future we will all have the ability to flag profiles. I think the issue is that currently the team that reviews the flags isn't large enough to deal with frivilous flagging, which is likely to happen if opened to everyone.
@AffyAvo, thanks I do have the badge. I'll try to figure it out.
@Freedomtochoose Only verified listeners can flag profiles! Flagging is much more of the inappropriateness of profile. It's not really a report channel for whatever's happening in a 1on1 chat.
If you wanna block 1on1 connection, there's supposed to be an icon like this 🚫 which you can click and provide reason for blocking or a report statement.
I think you need the Verified Listener badge, but I do not see it in your profile. You are eligible to apply for it here: Apply to become a Verified Listener
When you have the badge, you see a little red flag icon in the top right of every profile (including your own, weirdly). You can click it to flag the profile.
@Freedomtochoose
@RarelyCharlie,
Thank you, I did it last week and Im awaiting on the score.

This isn't specifically about photos, but is there a policy about use of Dr or doctor? I saw a profile from a medical student with Dr in the title, and I felt it was misleading and might be interpretted by members as a person who could give professional medical advice. Are their any rules about such titles?
I have never seen any rule about that. People with titles often use them in other situations where they are not acting in a professional capacity. But yes, it could be misinterpreted here, and in a username it seems inappropriate to me, for what it's worth.
I noticed a profile like that and I flagged it because of the photo, as it happens.

@RarelyCharlie
Appreciate your comment, Charlie. Nice to know that I am not thinking crazy!
Thank you for the information
