Critical of self
For a long time, I have been very critical of myself very hard on myself when I make mistakes or when something goes wrong. I also rarely think of myself as worthy of good things or good relationships. I know I should think more positively and I work at that everyday, but it's really difficult, especially when I mess things up with others. Anyone relate?

overcoming a habit or pattern is hard ....being critical of yourself is one of those things... stressing over messing up with people i can help to remember in those interactions it takes 2 you at best may only be fault of half ..... see half critical self thinking gone. 😀

I understand how hard it can be when you’re so critical of yourself and find it tough to believe you deserve good things. It’s clear you’re putting in a lot of effort to be more positive, which is something to genuinely appreciate about yourself.
It’s really challenging to deal with self-criticism, especially when you’re trying so hard to improve. Remember, everyone makes mistakes and has moments of doubt, but that doesn’t make you any less deserving of kindness or good things in your life. Your worth isn’t tied to your mistakes; it’s inherent and unchanging.
Try to be as kind and understanding to yourself as you would be to a close friend going through the same thing. Every day you’re working on being more positive is a step in the right direction. Celebrate those efforts, even the small ones, because they’re important and meaningful.
You’re making progress, and that’s significant. Keep going, and remember that you deserve to feel good about yourself and to embrace the positive things that come your way. You’re worthy of love, respect, and happiness, just as much as anyone else.

Hi BlueTiger- OH YEAH, you are not alone. I have tolerance for anyone else to make a mistake, but me- yeah, I am not good to me at all. And it's soooo hard not to be too needy in relationships because you're always trying to convince yourself that they aren't with you out of pity. I personally try to convince the people in my relationships not to leave me by doing all the chores, cooking, etc. Maybe I'd be worth staying with if they didn't have to do all the lousy work...
Yeah... you have company.
