Finding self worth
What’s a silver lining for you when you’re low and worthless?
Mines: remembering I’ll be dead one day and none of this will even matter.
@agreeableJar6939 yeah like when you know one day it’ll all be over so why even bother today 🥲
I like nature and stars and also people here who I consider my friends… these are some reminders that there’s still hope and goodness in the world 💕 keeps me afloat at times …

That’s such a raw and honest answer and in its own way, strangely grounding. Sometimes the reminder of impermanence can pull us out of the overwhelming weight of now. When everything feels too heavy or meaningless, that thought that one day none of this pressure, shame, or fear will hold power can bring a weird kind of peace. It strips things down and reminds us that we don’t have to get it all right. We don’t have to carry the world. We just have to be here.
For me, the silver lining often shows up as this quiet voice that says, “Even now, there’s still something left, maybe softness, maybe light.” Sometimes it’s the thought that even in moments where I feel completely empty, I’m still alive and that means the story isn’t done. There's still space for connection, for change, for the tiniest thread of meaning to come back into focus. And sometimes it’s less profound like the comfort of a certain song, or knowing that someone I love might smile just from hearing my voice.
If you are comfortable, would you mind sharing how you think your silver lining helps you cope, or does it ever make you feel more detached from things?
The part about someone you love may smile from hearing voice is so beautiful ❤️ I love the thought I helping people or making them feel better.
The silver lining I mentioned helps me in the moment because it removes a lot of the weight and bad feelings in that moment. Reminds me that life isn’t about perfection or getting everything done. Just like said, it is a weird revelation..but it works. Helps me to detach from the low vibratory state as well.
It’s not how many times you fall down, it’s how you get up again that counts. That works for me anyway.
Hey! For me, it’s knowing that Jesus loved (and still loves) us enough to die for us on the cross and save us/give us eternal life. Remembering that has definitely helped a lot whenever I’m feeling down. Just know that you are so loved, precious and appreciated no matter what!! 🫶🫶
I try to remind myself someone has it worse, it’s not the best motivation but it definitely helps me appreciate it certain things 1% more.
@agreeableJar6939 That’s a heavy thought, but sometimes reminding ourselves life isn’t forever can help put things in perspective. Even in tough times, small moments of peace or kindness can shine through.
