Doing an events badge? Read this!
We love love LOVE it when you organize a badge event, but we have a request:
Moving forward, when you need us to give out badges please sort your list by members and listeners.
We have a great new tool to allow us to add badges to everyone at once with the caveat that we can do one big member list and one big listener list.
Thank you for your help! This will help us get people their badges faster, wohoo!
Suggestion:
Distinguishing between listeners and members and verifying this process is done more easily by an automated tool.
Your developers have access to this data and the tool, so it might be a good idea to let them automate it.
Approximately it should be doable with ten line of code.
Meanwhile I'll do my best to group the data for you.
@kindSoul10 Yes! 100% we'd love that, this is hopefully the first step towards it. In the meantime we need to sort badging by lists of members and listeners.
@Jill7Cups - yay for the new tool - sounds like it will definitely make things easier! Question - ambassadors right now are able to add listener badges - will we have access to the same tool, or will we continue to do it one by one?
@Anomalia laura mentioned in subcom meeting i think it was, we will have access to the tool but not sure about member access.

I will remember this as I have learned it is so so much easier going by member/listener and finding the names. Also, when we have events in Mindfulness area, why can't this community get a new badge? Not a "Fall Badge" . Please can we come up with maybe a badge series and the community earns 1 at a time by these requirements:
- They went to every mindfulness discussion for 1 month
- They have increased sharing/supporting in the forum area
- They created (whatever amount) of forum threads
- They as a member shared (whatever number) of Forum Feends and used our team hashtag
See these things also encourage more participation/activity in our area. Please can we chat on this? It is a good idea and easy to make these badges

@RumpleSteeleSkin I really love that idea, I think the biggest obstacle is the legwork it takes for our dev team to create a new badge, let alone create one for each SC that wants one. But don't despair, we are talking about SC specific badging and agree it would be great.

Yes Jill it takes a minute to get them created and to come out. I do know it's possible tho as on member accounts we get those room badges 1 by 1 I think 3 in all. For participating and gaining cheers and so on. My toes are crossed we can get this going!

I personally find the badges to be meaningless as there are so many and would prefer dev team to focus on actually fixing our site.
But,
I have to admit that sometimes small incentives are nice every now and again.

I agree fun bages the listeners and members can work on has improved forum postings in 35+ so I would love new badges they can work on. Could we do some winter or Holiday badges?

@Jill7cups that is great! Also can events have their own specific badge or is it like the fall events badge etc?
@SouthernFlame for now it will be like the fall events badge, we don't have the workforce available to create event specific badges.
