New Member of the 7 Cups Admin Team! Say Hello to Xian!
Hello Wonderful Community!
I am really excited to introduce you to a new member of our admin team, Xian. Xian will be working with us as the Head of Product. A product manager is a special role at any organization. He will be charged with the development and prioritization of site features, keeping in mind how each impacts every element of the organization and its mission. An important part of hismjob is to help improve the overall experience and grow the community without losing what is great and special about it.
Prior to joining our team, Xian ran messaging products at AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) and was the Director of Product at CloudOn. He is the author of "The Power of Many" and co-author of "Designing Social Interfaces."
Aside from his impressive professional background, Xian is a firm believer in the 7 Cups mission. He is curious and interested to learn more about all of you and the work of our incredible community! Please join me in welcoming him to our 7 Cups family!

Thanks for everything that you pose in terms of the success and fulfillment of 7 Cups, I aim to become more acquainted as time passes; sorry for the late congratulations. Where'd you get the username Xian from?
My given name is Christian and "xian" is a traditional academic's abbreviation for that word, based on the idea that the X looks like the Greek letter "chi" which is the first letter in the word Christ or Christian.
I always used it as a written abbreviation (some of my friends call me X) and when I got online it seemed natural to use it as it is much shorter and easier to spell than Christian, and I like how it looks when all lowercase, with the letters all the same height and depth except for the dot on the i.
