Notifications and alerts ARE back in the apps!
We have now turned on a basic left-side navigation drawer for Android. To bring it out swipe to the right from near the top-left edge of the screen.
For sections of the app that have subsections (currently just Chat and now Feed, but more to come in that department) you can navigate directly to them from this side nav.
More excitingly, under Feed we have added back a screen for alerts and one for your in-app notifications (yay!).
We should have this working for iOS soon as well, and we plan to keep improving the notifications and of course the app as a whole.

@krinkthemellowunicorn is it just me or I can't swipe to get the drawers anymore? or maybe it's a bug, but I can't access any drawer
@ace13 on ios or Android? We turned off the easter egg drawers but have since turned left one back on for Android.
Right side will have settings, logout, etc...
@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn I'm on android (would never be on apple ;) ) I found a fix, sometimes if you quit a chat too fast the drawer lags out so I refresh and it's fine
OK my iPhone is charging and I'm waiting for myorder of some chiterinne (totally mismisspelledpelled but it's a calabrian spaghetti with a ragú) and melanzana parmigiana so I can't check for myself yet but...
@ezraBC tells me we have now pushed the left side drawer for the iPhone!
You may need to quit and restart the app.....
the animation feels really nice on my iPhone too, especially when the drawer is closing!

@cheeney that was one of the major goals of the new design so I'm glad you like it!
There are still some bugs in the app. For instance a lot of links redirect to the group support rooms. Like, when I press on "Feed" it will sometimes direct me to Chat, sometimes the name will even change to Chat.

If you look at the symbols on the bottom, you see that the ones who are supposed to say ''feed'' and ''community'' now say Chat, and when I press them they also redirect me to Chat.
right now I can reproduce that by following a link in say the feed tab to someone's profile and messaging them and things like that. it needs to move to the other tab.

Can I know whether it's just my phone or does anyone else have issues with pasting a link on your feed/forum? but other than that the new app is so pretty and great!

@eternalHero77 - send a PM to @ezraBC - tell him I sent you - and he can do a test to see if he can send you a notification manually. if so, then that will help us trace the problem.
I've noticed that from Saturday, I have been getting push notifications on my iPod, but not my iPhone. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but this has not corrected the issue. I tried fiddling with the settings on my iPhone in the little gear thing, but when I tried to save it just says 'Missing inforamtion' or something along them lines.

changing the settings in the app shouldn't matter as you only have one set of settings for each acct.
It may be that you have different notification options set up for 7 Cups on each device? That is, for each app you can say if it can put notifications in the notification center and whether it can display foreground notifications, etc., so please check the iOS Notification settings for the 7 Cups app on both devices and then let me know if they are set up the same way and you are still getting inconsistent results.
If that is the case we can connect with @ezraBC to troubleshoot your specific devices.

I've checked the notifications for both and they are like this- https://imgur.com/6LweY1z (taken from iPhone) My settings are the same way on my iPod and I get the notifications through no problem there, just not from my iPhone.
@Alex1004 - I'm going to ask you to PM @ezraBC directly (he is busy at the moment but should have some time later) to try to figure out what is making one of your devices get push notifications but not the other.

Just to let you know, when you select to expand a Listeners profile description it DOES NOT work. There are also many other issues with the app, but this is the one I get told a lot about, and have experienced multiple times.
@Nick1 @KrinkTheMellowUnicorn I have noticed the same for a long time, sounds like some JS error or something like that , however I think Xian mention we will get a new browse listener tab soon which should fix that issue I believe?
@Ace13 - not a separate tab for browsing listeners but yes a new design for that.
@nick1, in the meantime this screen like a few of the others is really just the old app screen in new clothes and with a few bug thrown in, it appears. we will get to this as soon as we possibly can. sorry for the inconvenience!
