Please give us the option of turning Noni off.

I have zero interest in talking to a bot.

I believe that I'm one of many.

Please give us the option of turning it off.

I agree. Can we please turn Noni OFF somehow? Or just make her to be quiet! I don't know where the feedback page is for Noni is now on the adult side, but I would like to give feedback - very much actually. Thank you for reading. ~ Platy

@cyanPlatypus6370 @clab
if you say "shut up" to her she won't message you until you message her again I believe

@aquaticsky ... I've tried "Stop" and it works for the time. But it still comes back at some point - like the next day - with a something like "how are you" or "Just checking in" .... I would prefer that not happen!

@cyanPlatypus6370 - have you managed to get her to leave you alone, yet?

@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn .... Thank you for checking, Krink!

Yes, I think so, for now. I found the box to check or uncheck within the settings of my member account. ~ Platy

Noni keeps on spamming my email notifications. Saying 'stop' or 'shut up' doesn't work because she would initiate a conversation after some time. This is fringing on harrassment and very frustrating.

Yes, Hero. This is another thing I do not like. I don't want any emails that say ONLY you have a new message from Noni. Like who cares? It's a robot - therefore random timing? I don't know. I'd really rather have only emails from my listener account, but I'm not sure how to do that. And Noni is over in Listener Land too frown

Is anyone reading this? Do we need to put feedback in another spot??? @Heather @Laura @GlenM @Kate @Iara @Krinkthemellowunicorn ........ Someone??? who knows about this .. Please respond.

Thank you, Platy

@cyanPlatypus6370 and @calmHero86

I can see your frustration with all of this. I am sure @Heather and the rest of the product team are working really hard to make talking to noni a better experience.

I have hear some things that might help:

-->Noni should only follow up/ start messaging you for the first 30 days since you interact with her for the first time. After that, she should only message you when you start the interaction.

-->You can alter your email preferences in the "Settings" Page (you can find the link by clicking your display pic at the top left corner). There you might want to change the preference of "When someone messages me" to what you feel most comfortable with.

Those "hacks" I just mention, do not fix the problems you have all mentioned in this thread 100% but I think it might help a bit while other changes come in.

PS: Thanks for tagging me! Otherwise I would have not found the thread. Please don't hesitate to do it any time you would like to bring my attention to something in the feed or forums ^_^

@Iara -- Reply to your P.S. I often am not sure who to 'tag.' I know some, perhaps most, of the admin team but I do not know who is in charge of what or what your roles are. I'm sure they get messy sometimes with people covering what they can and others helping with stuff that's not technically in their own job.

Anyway, thank you for reading. and Thank you for your response! :)

That is actually a great point! I just realize that we dont have a place where we outline who is the right person to reach out to about things. I will be reachout out to the rest of the team to make a forum about it in the near future; but in the mean time a quick sumary below:

Iara (that is a capital i) - I work with anything related to the teen side, being an adult teen listener, aging up from the teen side to the adult one

Kate - all related to group support and discussions and support teams.

Laura - all that relates to the adult community and subcommunities.

Amelia - all related to the intership program

Krinkthemellowunicorn - product feedback about the site or the app, bugs and other technical stuff

Pat - partnerships and verticals

Twish- anything that refers to the operations in 7 cups

Heather - noni feedback and suggestions

LaraG - anything that relates to therapy

Hope this helps!

@Iara Why a "better experience"? Why is there a debate about whether an option to turn it off? Can't users decide for themselves if Noni is a resource they want to use or not. It seems to me that a programmer could add an off button in a very short time. I constantly have a "1 message/1 conversation notice. I get emails about Noni messages. Telling it to stop, or shut up works for a few days, then another message. It's just so annoying. Please give us an off button! Please.

@Iara @cyanPlatypus6370 @calmHero86 @clab and all the other people who commented on this thread, here's the feedback form about Noni so Heather can keep track of the suggestions and ideas to help improve noni! I hope this helps c:

I had a reminder set with noni - to stop this, i clicked on the speach bubble to the left of the text box, and scrolled down until it came up with the option to 'edit or remove reminders'.

This at least means I shouldnt get the emails any more.

Hope this helps for others

P.S - log on to a computer to do this, instead of using the app
