Hi Everyone,

Working through difficult emotions is hard & scary. I have had this topic on my mind this week and wanted to take some time to share 5 tips for taking the first steps towards working through difficult emotions! Take a look at this short video here!

Here are the 5 tips:

1. Trust

Trust that on the other side of difficulty there is something bright and good waiting for you! Also, trust that working through the difficult emotions is easier than continuing to hold on to them.

2) Courage!

You have to be brave! Get out of your comfort zone!

3) Willingness to be vulnerable

Being okay with letting yourself be uncomfortable.

4) You can only control you!

Focus on you and the desired outcome you want for yourself.

5) Take small steps!

Working through these difficult emotions could take a long time. Do it piece by piece. Take your time and be patient!

Please watch the video or read the list above and let me know what you think! If you are able to take these steps? If so, which? how?

Thanks!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand once again, the AYMAYZANG @Laura rolls out yet another fabulous, on-point video and forum post! Thank you heaps for taking your time and pouring your thoughtful heart into doing this for us! I totally give a huuuuuuuuuuuge thumps ub (wait, that doesn't look right! But hey, I never claimed to follow the crowd!) to this! Working through difficult emotions can be incredibly difficult - but add a little courage, a dash of trust and some holding hands of support and badabing badaboom, heck yeah you can power through it! Let's all take the step towards facing our emotions head on, I know we can do it!

Hi Laura. I just saw the video. Every single word you said is so true. I personally and as a participant in social activities, have used trust, courage, willingness and taking one step at a time as the way to overcome painful emotions, with children and adult. Sometimes, when it's truly tough to keep going through changes, it's a blessing when someone gives a gentle nudge or a hand , I also realised the danger of self sabotaging is also there so it's important to be aware and to be willing to keep trying even when we fall flat on our face. Thank you Laura. " Never stop fighting, never give up."
