Did You Know? A 7 Cups Facts Series 🍵
Whether your journey here started 7 minutes ago or 7 years ago, you are part of a massive, living, breathing world. Since 2013, 7 Cups has evolved into a global movement of compassion and is now home to thousands of listeners and millions of members.
But how much do you really know about the extraordinary collective we call 7 Cups?
Welcome to "Did You Know? 7 Cups", an ongoing series where we share facts and behind-the-scenes details that make 7 Cups what it is today. Since our community is constantly evolving, these posts won't be in any particular order. Instead, they are bite-sized pieces of information to help us all feel more connected to the impact we’re making.
I have dug through the archives, the guidelines, and the old legends to compile a list of facts about our community. From safety policies you need to know to fun trivia about our badges and bots, this series covers it all.
For example, did you know that since August 2013, 1,818,598,937 messages have been sent and 72,298,116 people have been reached by 563,378 listeners across 189 countries in 140 languages? Now you do!

You have no idea how much I am enjoying the series! 😊 ❤️ I love fun factoids about 7 cups! The fun factoids are great things to bring up in the LSR when it's slower, when they directly apply to a question that was brought up, directly relate to certain good behaviors (you got this and this is why!) or when working 1-1, Leader to Listener or Leader to Leader in pm's.
To iterate some of our stats, our achievements, how far it is that we have come, collectively, can be a bit awe inspiring to others from time to time. Its a great reminder to self when we share these things as well. ❤️
Sharing our mission statement, the origin story, our core values and belief system here on the platform can help others to embrace and truly internalize the deeper meaning to all of this. To show others how very big it is that we are and give them a moment to feel good about being a part of something that is so much bigger than themselves seems to be quite inspirational. ✨
Knowing some of these things, I feel, can help us with thoughts in regard to "intentionality" ; signing onto the platform with intentions and very good ones. What is it that we are choosing to do today while being here? Did we not understand from the beginning what our purpose is? Did we understand, but then lost our way? All good questions to keep ones self "in check". 💫
