Take the Community Survey to Share Your Needs and Feedback

Hi everyone,
We’re running a short survey to better understand what you need from 7 Cups and what helps you feel most heard and supported here.
We’re especially hoping to learn:
-
what you use most (1:1 chats, groups, forums, paths, events, etc.)
-
what parts of the experience feel helpful vs. what feels frustrating or hard to navigate
-
what kinds of closed groups/huddles or community events you’d actually want
-
what would make the experience feel more comfortable, safe, and worth coming back to
Your answers help us understand what matters most to you and what you’d like to see more of. If you’ve ever thought “I wish there was more of ___” or “this part isn’t really working for me,” this is the best place to share it.
Please find the survey here.

I use group chats more than 1:1

what parts of the experience feel helpful vs. what feels frustrating or hard to navigate
Only one person is helpful, they have true empathy for others. I recently noticed that after chatting in group settings, maybe participating in a special session, I don't feel nourished. I feel anxious and often in nagging pain even after the session ends. This is what is so frustrating about 7cups experience. It takes more energy than it nourishes me, that's why it's still work even after talking to people here and I can't make progress in real life. I have been able to discover this after having a nourishing group chat with the empathetic person I mentioned. Joining these sessions keep me replenished and I have been able to make progress in real life work instead of constantly staying stuck.
What is draining: During my answers to a question, other members make comment on it or give advice, or just start talking about their own experience, opinion. They seem to want to appear wise, important or just want to talk about themselves. Those make me feel violated, often criticized because I'm being truly vulnerable here. It's just my guess but it seems like they find some stimulation from my vulnerability and it prompts them to react in unhelpful ways. This is why it's not safe to talk in group chats. -
what kinds of closed groups/huddles or community events you’d actually want
I like the huddles and special session rooms now. Mainly if host is empathetic and understands your emotions then it's a great resource and help. But often members are other participants aren't that emotionally deep and they make unnecessary and unhelpful comments on your share. It makes me feel like they're taking advantage of my vulnerability.

what would make the experience feel more comfortable, safe, and worth coming back to
After share if the host is empathetic and tries to soothe my pain instead of trying to teach me something that I already know. Members/other participants who don't cause me pain when I'm vulnerable.
Mainly I want others to have empathy instead of other unhelpful responses.

We’re especially hoping to learn:
what you use most (1:1 chats, groups, forums, paths, events, etc.): I use groups mainly and growth paths secondly.
what parts of the experience feel helpful vs. what feels frustrating or hard to navigate (e.g. I have at times found certain links inaccessible when I have done few growth paths before).
what kinds of closed groups/huddles or community events you’d actually want (e.g. perhaps ones where we build our communication skills, conflict resolution skills, quiz night - general knowledge tests, learning new language )
what would make the experience feel more comfortable, safe, and worth coming back to (e.g. Having a moderator in each and every room and prompting individuals where comments are rude and disrespectful in 1-1 chats, reprimanding for disrespectful language used where it is more obvious too, having people share their triggers beforehand as well). Have individuals signpost where they are making a joke as certain jokes get missed. If people signpost where they are joking this cancels out any triggers activating.
@SoulfullyAButterfly i completed it,i hope it will make a contribute the platform,
you guys make a great job, thank you
