Help us name our care model!
What we are doing here on 7 Cups is really unique. Trained voluteers + technology + professionals work together to extend healthcare access. Some folks call this task shifting or task sharing. We are not huge fans of those terms, b/c we don't really feel like they capture what we do. When I think of our model I think of renewable energy - it is limitless, it is free, and we are getting better at figuring out how to channel it to help more people. We need a really good name for our model. One that will really stick and highlight the work we are doing, but also provide a framework so that other groups can provide similar care under the same title.
Here are some terms we've been thinking about. The term should sound good with both care or healthcare at the end. For example: renewable care or renewable healthcare, compassion now care, together care or together healthcare, free care, open care or open healthcare, openhanded healthcare, 7 cups care or 7 cups healthcare, horizon healthcare, lean on me care (like the song..what i've been singing all weekend as i think about us), lean on me healthcare, mutual care and connected care or connected healthcare.
The 3 key parts are:
Free - We are volunteers who provide compassionate care to to reduce suffering.
Collaborative - We work together and with professionals to provide the best care that we can given limited financial resources.
Iterative - Our care keeps getting better and better because we keep learning through training and technology experiments.

Is this a slogan idea I presume? I know we're named 7 Cups of Tea, but now I'm a bit confused as ths suggestions sound more like an overall name for a website/app! I'm all for this, but I just want to make sure what I'm thinking is correct, if this is a slogan or name. (I'm assuming slogan as "name change" wasn't listed in the forum, but the ideas for the care model just sound a bit like a name, although they are supposed to be 
)
In addition, I think "advertising" (naming of slogans, care models, etc.) should be seperate for the free and costly part of the site. Saying free healthcare may be a bit misleading, as some of the listeners often receive bad reviews and ratings, which we have a Quality Coaching Program that vastly helps, however, like others said prior, most of the Listeners trained via 7 Cups initial training program and self help guide courses aren't trained to handle such a situation that involves actively suicidal thoughts or actions, and other crisis examples.
Overall, I think it's a great idea! Just two seperate care models may be the best initiative to avoid confusion, money may be an issue for some
I'd say it's more about the care of our well being then healthcare , the care for our mindfullness we have to offer not so much med care.

I'm basically echoing some of the other feedback here, so sorry about that, but I'm not sure that we can label the bulk of 7 Cups' work as being healthcare. Constantly I find myself having to tell people here that I'm not a healthcare professional, that I've recieved minimal required training, and that said required training did not involve anything related to mental health. Any training on health-related topics is optional for all listeners. Therapists can provide healthcare-like services to their clients, but I don't believe that makes up the majority of 7 Cups' traffic (correct me if I'm wrong). I think that rather than using 'healthcare', simply 'care' would be the better choice. Once again, sorry for repeating what others have already said, but I just felt the need to elaborate and share my perspective!
I also think callng our services free could be misleading, especially if you want to use this term as a descriptor of the site and it's services as a whole. While the active listening and group support portions of the site are free, there are still services that are not (therapists, growth paths, etc). I would never want someone to come to 7 Cups and be disappointed because they felt as though they were lead on, but I fear this could happen if we call the site as a whole 'free'.
Essentially, my feedback was just that I think the terms need to create clarity rather than cause confusion. Obviously this is just based on my personal opinions and the connotations I have of some of those words, though, so please don't take my feedback as being forceful or anything like that!
I think calling the care model "multi-faceted" would be very appropriate as it acknowledges that while we are united by the main goal of the site, there are subcommunities and smaller goals and services all within that. This site has many different parts to it, and different ways to give support; the name of our care model should probably reflect that! So, something along the lines of "multi-faceted support care" could work? Let me know what you think! ♥

In economics there's the concept of a positive-sum game. It's a situation where multiple people come together (free) each one bringing their unique talents and contributions (collaborative) and such wealth is created that all parties benefit (iterative).
"Positive-Sum Care." It encompasses your key factors, it's recognizable, and it sounds enticing even to those who might be unfamiliar with the concept.
I'm biased because it's my idea, but I think it's a really top-shelf great idea. (Actually I trust your judgement, but that's one I like.)
