Happy Eid Al Adha

As-salamu alaykum! I hope everyone is doing well. As some of you know, Eid Al Adha is coming up. It is the second Eid that Muslims celebrate. It falls on Jul 19, 2021 for some and July 20, 2021, for others (depending on the country they are in).

Eid lasts for 3 days but is usually the most celebrated on the first. You can read more about the significance of this Eid here. I am making this post to wish all of our Muslim community a very happy Eid.

Typically when celebrating Eid, Muslims will dress up in new/their finest clothes and prepare a wide range of dishes to eat on the Eid day. Some may also apply Henna on their hands. Usually they will meet friends and family on Eid day. It can be hard to enjoy celebrations due to the pandemic but know that we are here for you! You can share your happiness and wishes with each other on this post!

Even if you are not a Muslim, feel free to wish the Muslim members of our community ‘Eid Mubarak’ or a ‘Happy Eid’.

For those celebrating, I am interested to know:
○ How do you celebrate Eid? (Bonus brownie points if you can show us some pictures)
○ What are your plans for Eid day?

If a holiday/festival that you celebrate is coming up. Please tell us here so we can celebrate that with you.

@Hope Eid Mubarak @hope and to all who are celebrating. I really feel your words. Exactly i wear new dress, eat yummy yummy food, put henna on my hand and meet my family and friends on Eid! But due to pandemic, we are celebrating it at home. But still glad Alhamdulillah smiley
I wore new dress today, yellow colored. Then designed henna on my hand. Then we ate delicious food which was biryani and ras malai (I cannot share how to cook it because i don't know cheeky as my mom and sister prepare these special foods), and met our relatives through audio and video call wink technology helps a lot in this pandemic. I pray to God that next year He will allow me to visit Mecca and Kaaba and perform Hajj 🕋 Ameen.
Other festivals that i will be celebrating are Birthdays of my family members hehe.
Hope all of you, who are celebrating Eid-ul-Adha, have a joyous, healthy, peaceful, blessed day and those who are not celebrating also stay happy and blessed! heart
