Forum links

There are a few issues with links in the the forum.

One set of issues is around creating links to the forum. It's possible to link to the start of a thread, and it's possible to link to an individual post, but both these links are difficult to construct. If you really want to know, there's information on how to do it here: Link to forums

The other set of issues is that when you follow a link to a post (for example, from a notification) the top of the post ends up hidden underneath the blue navigation bar at the top of the screen. This is really two separate bugs, because links in notifications and the barely visible In Reply To links at the bottom of replies use different mechanisms, and in both cases the blue navigation bar ends up hiding the top of the post.

I've been using a browser feature to help with both sets of issues. It makes it easy to link to the top of a thread or to a specific post. It also fixes the navigation bar bug for most links (but not the separate In Reply To bug). For details, see: Link to forums easily

Using this solution, here's what a link to the start of a thread looks like:

@RarelyCharlie Thanks! I knew how to link to a specific page although usually I just grab the general thread link. A specific post I didn't know how to do before. Other forums I've used have made it simplier to do so.
