Idea for Ultimately Decreasing the Wait Time
On a listener's calendar, you can set up when you are available and see when you are scheduled to listen. What you can not see is the amount of other fellow listeners scheduled for certain dates and times.
It would be helpful if this was actually a feature. Perhaps in some type of color based code, with red having an abundance of listeners already and green for having not enough listeners. Or maybe the other way around? Maybe yellow for in between? This would allow listeners to pick the best time to listen when they are not busy. Hopefully this will decrease the wait time, and those who need some personal attention will get what they deserve :-)
I love this idea, I think it would really help listeners out with scheduling and accepting requests.
Lovely idea, @AlfonsTheHelper1 :D
I'm going to tag some people who could make this possible :D

Thanks, definitely worth exploring :)
Good idea!
What we know if from 4:00 Eastern until 1:00 am Eastern we have more people seeking help. If we can organize a way to target these times as a community we could help a lot more people. I'd welcome ideas on how to do that.
Hey everyone! So I noticed this weekend, that a lot of the requests were offline and I felt bad because we wouldn't be able to reach them in a way.
Perhaps, they post a request to meet a listener after a while, if no listener gets them (and they end up waiting for a bit), we could have another mini form to fill out:
"Sorry! We are unable to connect you with a listener at the time but would love to support and connect you in any way. Is there a time that you would like to possibly schedule with a listener?"
That way, we can pair them up with people based on the times we are free. I know I'm available most evenings depending on the day, but I always feel bad for all those people who have waited for so long, they usually log off.
I think if we work on the Calendar view for Listeners a bit more, we can really work it out to be a scheduling thing if they wait for so long. Currently, there are about 90 General Requests at the moment (yikes!) so if we can do it more scheduling even after they wait, I think that may help! :)
Good suggestion. The calendar needs an update (alongwith many other things on the site). So whenever the calendar gets an update, we can implement something like this :).
