April 10: Sub-community designs - feedback requested!

@Laura ... maybe you don't need another vote for #3 (or any more votes at all...) but I'll still choose to vote for #3.

#2 is too light from what I can see here (on my computer). It is very hard to distinguish between the background and the boxes for forum topics on the Right and feed, etc, etc on the Left. The contrast variable in #3 is better for me - and potentially for those who do not see well. Also does 7cups consider colorblindness within our designs/layouts? I myself am not colorblind, but it would be helpful for those who are, or who have partial colorblindness.

Comments on #1 - Meh. Not too exciting. I prefer how #2 and #3 seem a bit more tailored to the group (in this case Depression Support).

I like option #2. It looks neat, and I love how the columns are in similar colors and look like they belong to each other. It gives a grand illusion of how everything in this sub communitty is related to and within depression. The color similarity doesn't distract the eye and I imagine it would help in making scrolling up and down more comfortable.

Option 3, followed by option 1. Not keen on option 2

I like Option 1 because the words: Depression Support and the word Friends : stands out very clearly. It gives the impression that there are many supportive people here plus I love how the background colour changes from blue and ends with a light shade of sunshine. The picture of a ladt with an umbrella represents how this website with help people with depression but it does not dominate the page.

I am not very favourable of Option 2 and 3 because the picture of the lady with umbrella is large and is quite distracting. There are so many blogs with large pictures right at the top so this makes option 2 and 3 quite a common look. Plus the background is almost in the shade of blue. It might not capture the attention of someone who is already feeling really blue.
