We're excited to give you all a sneak peek at our new homepage that is coming within the next week or two!
We will be testing the impact of this page over the upcoming month. We hope to better highlight what 7 Cups does and the support we all provide.

@Kate i love how this looks but the first 2 sections could be shorter to make room for more pictures and sections with useful information about the site you dont want teens to think this is only for adults or men to think its only a site for women and a person could assume either by the current pictures you could make the first two shorter and add more pictures/sections and more inclusive pictures have a teen section a picture of a boy and girl so teens feel welcome maybe have the teen picture cell be a different less formal design but i do love the style and why not add somewhere the disclaimer that while this is a site for emotional support that doesnt include crisis even if its just adding a few words where it says emotional support but having a disclaimer at the bottom of the site is not going to make the site look bad and would probabally be reassuring to investors seeing that fact at least mentioned

@bunnypants I was feeling pretty down today until I saw your bunnyfull contribution to this thread – I'm crying now (after laughing until I started coughing). Thanks for brightening my day. 
@bunnypants lol love it and this picture would be a million times better than the huge picture of tangled trees thats on the homepage now a nice sunny day with cute bunnies cuddling and not a huge picture of trees i like nature pics but thats not the best nature pic they couldve picked to put under focus on the positive and changing nature pics or animal pics would be better than one constant pic i dont hate how the main page looks now i just dont think the active listener box should exist and it looks half finished bottom left side goes down further than right side so it looks messy and unprofessional and crisis info should be on main page somewhere or at least a warning to people that this isnt a site for people who are suicidal but they didnt put that anywhere on this new main page either for some strange reason 7cups must think that looks bad to let people know that
I'm not a fan of it. It's a tedious wordpress site. It looked a lot like the phone app, but I always have authentication with the phone app, after it actually gets past the splash page. I think the splash page for the new site is going in the wrong connection. It's mroe about marketing and flashiness than getting people to communicate.
@Darkseed shh we're not gonna complain about it looking like wordpress if they put my bunny picture on it right? :D

Maybe we can put 7cup members art on the main site?
@AmalieAnne thats a great idea i think to have changing artwork drawings paintings or photography exc created by members or listeners (and maybe therapists too?) on the current homepage or somewhere make a space on the new homepage under focus on the positive or just a small box of changing community artwork even less space that would actually be therapeutic to people on an emotional support site based on a sense of community that would only look good and actually and more importantly be good to add that
@jennysunrise8 I like that photos or any art, also music if people wanted to share. Any kind of art is an expression of something inside It is often easier/better than words.
Love the new look! So glad new joining members will now have a greater chance to see our wonderful community!
@ Kate, so, just one more thing, about the 300,000 trained listeners - how does that work? Did you get input from all of them? When visitors are informed that they can browse our listeners for one they like, will they get the impression that they have 300,000 to choose from? Does a person in need really care how many trained listeners there are as long as there is one available for a chat?
It might serve a useful purpose to post the "Current XX average minutes wait time" on the homepage before the user goes to the trouble of logging in.
