June 1: Alerts!

Hello All!

I wanted to make an announcement about the mechanics of site alerts. Alerts are pinned notifications which point you to specific community information. You can also see alerts on your announcements tab. Over the past 2 weeks, we have been changing the way we use alerts and I wanted to give everyone a little information about this.

There are 3 levels of Alerts: Blue, Orange & Red. These colors indicate priority level.

Ex. Blue: Least Priority

Orange: Middle Priority

Red: High Prioity!

For this update, we'll be altering the way we use blue category alerts. These will be changed on a rotating basis to point you to interesting threads and conversations you'd not participate in otherwise.

The orange and red alerts will remain the same. Orange and red will be used to share the following kinds of information:

1) Site updates

2) Community information and annoucements

3) New community programs

Please be sure to check for orange & red alerts when reviewing your notifications & announcement list.
