Site Design Updates Live Now
Hi everyone,
We have updated our site design templates to make sure they are up to date. This site update will only be available on the web versions so you may notice several changes in how everything looks!
One key change with the design templates is our General Request queue for listeners - we have switched to yellow instead of red for the banner color for a higher chat request count.
@SoulfullyAButterfly i have definitely seen a lot of complaints on this, even from my members. the first thing i noticed on my phone is that everything is very hard for me to get to. it’s a very animated feel. it almost feels like i am going through a restaurant menu online. instead of this being a fluid and easy site to function it has turned a lot harder to navigate. I personally have not seen the bright yellows yet but i do see how that can be very concerning. i also do not like the way the text box lights up when i go to type. i also know me and my members do not like the blue hearts. I also know that cups was doing a big accessibility movement and this definitely does not fit into it. i feel this update will make it much harder for many disabled or generally not tech savvy people. I also have found it very hard to log in due to the way everything is set up. In general i would much prefer the old app although i do like the way profiles are set up. although i don’t see much need in change for that.
@SoulfullyAButterfly we don't like the blue hearts , and yellow banner. Except that it's okay. And i am facing a problem with messaging members. I can't seem to find the leave a message button on any member. Even if they allow listener initiate messages. Please help.

i like the yellow banner but PLZ add dark mode it hurts to use cups at night
I love the layout. but, don't like the notification, that space can be used. Please excuse my language. thank you for the post
The hearts in red is more energy like. but in blue or any color is better than red. I don't know why. some things I don't understand
For an organisation which has an annual budget of around 30 million US dollars to run such a platform, that's so shameful.
As former web designer and consultant for community platforms - saying this with 30 years experience in daily use of the www - there is always an only one way the right one:
Run at least for one month on a test server the new upgrades, with a test group. Pre-launch tests are highly recommended.
We users are not stupid test dummies to find and report bugs after a launch. It's annoying
Do with the final design version before a launch or upgrade a usability test by qualified users. This is done with screen recordings.
@Linux2022, i strongly agree with you, we are volunteering only as listener and for those who need a all ears, but developer use as a dummy aka volunteer of thier new terrible design and template, they makes us beta testers of thier new so called innovation of template, I'm unable to help my member bc I'm not comfortable with new design, they really think we are volunteering so we are fools.
@Linux2022
Mr. The web is awesome. 30 or 100 or 10 million. But I admit before was awesome. those changes are not final I''m guessing. And they are a way of discovering some final touches. I guess some changes is good sometimes. I don't know why. but I read that somewhere
@SoulfullyAButterfly
I literally cannot cope with this update. Visually, it is awful and overwhelming. Notifications don't work properly for chats, or for notifications. It is just too stressful. Please can we have the old version back :"(
@SoulfullyAButterfly can u switch it back to older version please 😭😭😭
If u have backup of previous version template please switch it , it's my humble request, new design is terrible.
I can't see if my member/listener is online or offline, and there are lots of bugs, honestly new design looks terrible and cheap😭😭😭
Hearting a message should be in red color so it can look highlighted and it's makes impact of hearting, if it's in blue color (like new update) there is no impact of hearting a message bc blue color is unnoticeable
I'm not taking anymore request because new design is chaotic for me
We don't want any fixation just switch back to previous design please dear admin 😭😭, we will be grateful of you.

@rainyCloud88
Maybe a red outline for the heart. what do you say. pink. navy. rainbow. blue. brown😘
@LLils anything but it should be easily noticable, any highlighted color
@SoulfullyAButterfly The update seems to have broken some things 😞 Or maybe they were broken before and the update made the breakage more obvious?
It would be interesting to know the real purpose of the update, whether it was tested to ensure it fulfils the purpose, and who did the testing.
By the way, red, yellow and green all look much the same to people who have the most common form of colour blindness. Using colour alone to convey meaning in user interfaces violates basic disability design principles, and every UI designer knows this. So switching red to yellow is just weird.
In my opinion it would have been more useful to change the general request queue's "AVG WAIT" indicator to "MAX WAIT". As I type this, the average wait is showing as 1:20, but the member at the top of the queue has been waiting for a little over an hour! Why do we hide these very long wait times?

The person who gave the launch free and pressed the upload button should be fired. 🧐The comments here show a big image loss for 7C. 😱
What's going wrong here?🤔 Where are the 30 million US dollar going annually with such unprofessional handling?😮
Gosh. Stop it! bring back the old version, and work another 3 months on a well planned upgrade, with a new team .
It failed like a rocket launch the missile exploded 3 seconds after the start.
