Has No Idea How to Choose Career Path
i'm starting 11th grade in like a week, and i'm stressed. i don't really know what career path i want to follow. i know i like the idea of humanities, and commerce is possibly an option too, but i have no concrete plans. i chose my subjects based on what sounded alright + the classes my dad made me take. he's so stubborn and kinda overbearing, he really wants me to study business, and is frustrated when i tell him that i haven't figured much out yet. i have to apply to college in 12th grade, which is a lot sooner than i'm comfortable with. how do i go about figuring this all out?? i don't have any passions or hobbies, i just read books and watch shows. So, it's not as simple as that. my best plan is just to see if i enjoy my classes and go from there ahhhhhh. any pieces of advice are greatly appreciated!
Take commerce
Based on the classes your dad asks you to take, are there any classes that you enjoy more? In cases where our parents wishes us to get into a certain career path, it's usually for reasons, such as, wanting their children to follow in their footsteps; based on experience, they feel their children will be more successful in that particular field, or they want their children to fulfill a dream they were unable to accomplish themselves.
Not knowing what your cultural background is like, I'll roughly make some suggestions. You could simply listen to your father and study whatever he wants your career to be. Based on the subjects in school that you enjoy or get better grades in, do some research in the kind of career it could lead you to. Since you like reading, you could be good at writing too. Reading can help with coming up with creativity ideas in writing.
You have another year to figure this out. Take some time to discover what you enjoy studying, or have more interest in. Then, look at possible options in the career path that it could lead to. Once you have, like a list of 5 careers, you could then do some research to see which career would be hot in the market in the next 7 years (after you've graduated with the Degree).

I'm going into junior year (11th grade) this fall, so I'm speaking from as much personal experience as possible. I know it seems scary, but you don't have to have it all figured out right now! How many classes do you have each semester? How many of them are business-related or the ones that your dad wanted you to take? Do you have any electives left?
High school is the perfect time to expolore! Now's the time to take every class imaginable and the worst that can happen is that you decide you don't like it. I was dead-set on being a pre-med major in college and A becoming an anestheologist until I signed up for AP Human Geography this year just because my girlfriend signed up for it. By the end of first semester, my entire perspective had changed. Not only I absolutely loved the class, but the teacher I had introduced me to the idea that I would be a good teacher if I was ever interested in teaching. Not thinking much of it, I did an internship as a classroom assistant at a local elementary school and it turned out to be one of the best things I've done. I know I probably don't want to teach kindergarten but the idea of teaching sounds so much better than going to medical school and knocking people out before surgery.
If you're interested in humanities, there are so many possibilities! Commence sounds like a great life path too. Take an eleective that has to do with either of these - or both. Find an internship, or ask to shadow someone who works in a humanities/ commence field. You don't have to declare your major until junior year of college - the first two years are general education requirements. Take advantage of the time you have to either explore something you're interested in or try something new entirely!
