I go to a really bad school, can I still get into an Ivy?
My school is a half day, bare bones middle to high school. There are 4 courses in total, which means no choosimg courses, especially no AP or extracurriculars. We have two classes, one that teaches exclusively 9th grade material every year to 6-9th graders, and one that only teaches 10th grade material for 10th-12th graders. We do one subject per day, and our curriculum is one math book from the 2000s and the Google search engine. It's only legal because it's a private school and my country just doesn't care. It's my dream to get into an Ivy League university, but no matter how much I beg for my dad to let me change schools he won't budge. What are my chances? I'm also doing my own schooling on the side with a great free homeschool curriculum I used to use so that I actually learn things during the day, but it's not official so it doesn't count. Can colleges look at that? I have big plans for higher education but I don't know what I'm going to do in my situation.
Idk abt ur chances at an ivy but you can still go a good collage as long as you know the material you need to know.

No, but that sounds like a good idea.
In my experience with the college process, admission counselors do take into account how academics work at your school. If they see that your school doesn’t offer many opportunities for AP or extracurriculars, then they’ll focus more on what you do outside of school, what you’re interested in, and what you hope to do at that school. As long as you mention everything you want to be considered somewhere in your application, then they’ll consider it and it’ll put your application in a more holistic perspective. Hope this helps!
