I don't want to self sabotage anymore
I'm lined up for an internship and all it's going to take for me to have what I want is not being afraid. I've gotten into a habit of sabotaging myself out of opportunities because I get so worried about replying to emails, or even worse, being the first to reach out after a period of time. I fear I'm about to do it again. It's a struggle! I really don't want to do this to myself anymore though. I can be successful if I just rise above this impostor syndrome.

It is great to see you so dedicated! I think it is important to be able to step out of our comfort zone even though we are afraid. Everyone makes mistakes and it is completely all right! This is how we learn after all. You can manage it!
You've got this! You're heading in the right direction, to catch yourself of having the habit of self-sabotage is already a very good step forward. Now, you just need to keep it up and not fall into the same trap. Hang in there!~

@pandaprincess9 Update! My first day was yesterday. I'm getting to work with a high school choir, and conduct 4 songs with multiple choirs for the concert. I'm so proud of myself, because I created this opportunity. I saw this choir perform at a concert, and I found out how to contact the director, and asked if I could volunteer or intern. They have never had an intern, so I'm the very first one! As a first generation college student, I feel this is such a huge deal for me. Thanks for reading ☺️
Oh Yay! Good for you! You've inquired about a possible position and they created one for you. This shows how much they appreciate and love your effort in conducting the choirs.
