International Read to Me Day - March 19th, 2023
In this day in time, literacy is taken for granted. Parenting styles have also changed, allowing their children to have the freedom and rights to do their own thing. Rather than reading to their child, they allow them to read stories themselves. Nothing is forced, and is all up to the child. So, this "International Read to Me Day" encourages parents to sit down and spend quality time with their child to read them stories, whether that be bedtime stories, or done at anytime of the day. Of course, it doesn't have to be a parent-child story-reading. It could be amongst siblings, from grandparents to grandchildren, or even reading to your pet.
Use this day to promote the love of reading. Who will you read to today?

Thanks for this awesome post jaeee! Happy reading to everyone! Reading and literacy are often taken for granted, and it is sad. In our current world, so many people have not had the opportunity to learn. I know many people personally. Every night I read to my son. It is a great time to bond, wind down, and cultivate a love for reading and books. I will be spending some time reading with him <3
