Study Motivation
Dear Lovely People,
I quote Carol Burnette, "When you have a dream, you've got to grab it and never let go." We all got dreams, don't we? Even if you don't, it's okay. This post is about the importance of goals and self-respect for yourself. How does it connect to Study Motivation?
Respecting yourself and your goals is essential. When you have an aim, I want you to know that you never leave it. Despite many obstacles in life, you must keep moving further and trying to be better than who you are. Constant and never-ending improvement is very vital in progressing in life. The same is with studies. If you are consistent, revise every day, test yourself, analyse how you learn what and believe that you can achieve your goal, no one can stop you.
But studying day and night, tiring yourself, drinking coffee and losing sleep will not help you. That's where self-respect and love come in. Let's take an example of the life of almost every hardworking student in college or school. Exams are in a month, and you have only finished 70% of your syllabus. You are worried, which stimulates you to study day and night. Every night you study from 9 pm to 2 am. You sleep for two hours and wake up once again to study. You lose so much sleep this way, but this is not consistent. This is making your condition worse. Sleep is important! Students require a minimum of 8-10 hours of sleep per night. Getting this recommended amount of sleep can help the students to maintain their physical health, emotional well-being, and school performance.
Conclusion: Working hard is important, but taking care of yourself is essential too. Please, don't be burned out. There are various tips for self-care at 7 Cups. Please check them out and take care.
Bonus Tip for Motivation -
Whenever you want to give up, think, why are you studying? When you find the 'why', you can do anything.
Thanks a lot for reading. I hope this helps. Take care! 😊

I agree.... "Work hard in silence, let the success make the noise." I agree, with work we need proper rest. To repair our body cells. You should enjoy your time too and enjoy the life to the fullest. Bcz sometimes looking back in time, memories make us laugh not the marks. And yeah that's the truth... Believe me... Take some time to enjoy with friends, family or else go for a trip. But at last, there should be proper balance between them. :)
Thanks & Regards

Thats true! Thankyou for replying
Thanks so much for this post Tae! I can relate to that first quote of you have to go out and achieve your goals. That self drive and being able to overcome hard obstacles in the way is important in reaching goals. When you are on the quest to archive your goals it can be hard to take a step back and take care of yourself. The line between pushing though and taking a step back can be blurry.
I like how you emphasized for students the importance of the ability to step back form the intense studying and make sure that you are sleeping, eating and taking care of self. At some point the scale tips and with lack of essential necessary needs for your mind and body, it starts to negatively affect studies. We then may struggle with focusing, remembering, and start feeling all the effects of burnout. Incorporating breaks, exercise, time with friends, hobbies can help <3
I know that it can be super hard though. Sometimes it can feel like you can't take a break otherwise you will fail. That all or nothing thinking can contribute to not allowing yourself the breaks. However, taking your breaks and taking care of yourself will actually help improve and maximize the time that you do study.
Thanks for the post tae! *shares cookies and kiwis*

Thankyou for cookies and kiwis! Yum!
Self-care during studying for exams is definitely a must. I know that as students, we tend to procrastinate with studying and doing our assignments. This is also where self-care/self-respect comes in too. Of the many times we've procrastinated, we know that cramming last minute will leave ourselves feeling even more stressed and pressured than we already are. So, why are we tiring ourselves out even more by procrastinating? Leaving things to last minute, we'll end up sleeping less, probably eating more/less, and lead to a possible burnout. We know when our exam dates are, then, why are we still procrastinating and leaving things to the end?
We should be setting goals for studying, based on the period of time for our exams. I know most college/universities, have exam weeks given from the first day of class. The actual date would be confirmed within the semester, but most of us would have an idea which week exams are. So, from the start of the class, we should already be able to set goals to study, in preparation for the exam.
I know we all have our own methods of studying, but I'm pretty sure that for those that leave things last minute, it would only lead to more worrying and stress, that could directly affect how we retain information. When we start sleeping less to spend more time studying, or brains don't function as well, with lack of concentration and memory will also worsen. We have a choice, let's make that choice wisely~
