Hey hey dew thanks for this thoughtful post! I think that I would go with choosing a career that I love. While I think that having stablity in my life is important, being happy and enjoying what I do is most, finding a nice balance of both would be even better 😛
I think it's better to choose to do what you love. Otherwise, all you'll be doing is complaining about work and the amount of stress you get. Even if you've succeeded and earnings are good, if you're not doing what you love, work will become meaningless and you'll get bored of it easily.

You'll need to keep exploring, testing the waters. See what would create a spark of passion in you. Don't give up searching.
