Got caught cheating

I was taking this final exam, and I left my phone in my pocket for some reason, when I knew it would be hard to even cheat. I didn’t get a chance to. But while I was doing a problem the TA saw the outline of my phone, and it’s loooking like I might fail the class now. Ruining my chances of transferring to my dream school, not to mention my parents are going to let me have it. Any help or guidance, feeling overwhelmed right now

Hello. I can understand that you're feeling very stressed out right now with what just happened. It sounds like you are worried about your parents' reaction as well as the idea of failing the class, which makes sense. Do you know if you got an automatic fail? Based on what you have said, the phone was in your pocket and it lit it, you never actually touched your phone? Were you supposed to turn the phone off? I know in settings like SATs, the phone has to be off.

Also if you're over 18 and not in high school, your parents don't have to know about your grades.

@amicablePerson581   I’m really sorry you’re going through this—it sounds stressful, especially with so much on the line. Try to stay calm and explain your side clearly to the instructor or TA as soon as possible; honesty and context can sometimes make a difference in how situations like this are reviewed. онлайн коллаж фото

Hi, first off I am sorry this happened to you it sounds like your mind is jumping from possibly failing the class, to your dream school, to how your parents might react, all at once. I can imagine how overwhelming that must feel right now. Try not to be too hard on yourself while you're waiting to find out what happens. The situation hasn't fully played out, even though I understand how scary it feels at this moment. I really hope things turn out better than you're expecting, and I'm sending you lots of support. What part of the situation is weighing on you the most right now?
