It is good to have multiple interests you can always take your time to see what you like more as hobby and what you'd like to pursue or can see yourself doing for some committed time frame , your family etc comes next , first you can decide for yourself whatever makes you happy and content

I understand how it feels like time is running or that you may be behind , or put down people around you, but that is not true , it is ok to do things when you're ready while exploring, learning and growing <3

have you considered talking to an academic counselor or maybe any teachers you think you can confide with? They may have some useful insight also!

If it's what you want to do it's the right choice even if it is a mistake. Mistakes lead us in the right direction subtly or drastically.

@Krustythekrab to be honest, you won't really know right away. some may, but that's their business. I'm in my 30's now, and I've been made fun of for constantly switching careers. even if you don't stay happy with what you choose, at least you've gained knowledge and experience.

Not many people in high school is able to pick a career of interest that they want to be doing for life. Probably about 50% of people will change careers midway, when then lose interest that they're doing repetitive work.

For now, I think you should just choose what you have interest with. Your interests, happiness, and your passion is more important than what your parents want you to be doing. On the other hand though, some of us don't really like what we do, but we do it for the income amount and end up complaining about their work all day and is more stressed out. So, all I can say is, just follow your heart and it's entirely okay if you change your mind several times in between careers. High school is a bit too early to think about what you want to be doing for life, not many people have stuck with the same career after they've finished University/College. I only know a few people who didn't even go to College and is still working the job they started after high school. So, what you choose as a career, is entirely up to you. I'm also in my mid-30s, and I'm trying to change my career too.

We always seem to compare ourselves to people who are better than us during our academic years. They are usually the ones who seem like they have everything together and knows exactly what they want to be doing as a lifelong career. But in reality, not very many people have much clue, especially when they're still in high school. I know some people who changed their Majors in their 3rd year of University, and started over again. As we experience things as we grow older, our interests and passion may change because we're all exposed to new surroundings wherever we go. New colleagues in our jobs, different companies we work for. All these new experiences we encounter may all play a part in figuring out what type of work is best for you. So, later on in your life, I believe, if you aren't struggling much financially, you may end up working different jobs. Then, when you discover a new interest, you can even go back for more studying.

Thank you, I'm actually trying to start my own business. Hoping to get it up and running in 2 years!~
