Neurodivergent experiences in school
Hi I’m curious about What are normal school activities you may have found really difficult something like having to summarise a text or speech, thing that might be influenced by learning disorders and stuff

I have a microdeletion of a chromosome that I was born with, and it has caused me to take longer to process information.
For me personally, I had 504 accommodations for several years that allowed me to test in seperate rooms and get extra time on assignments.
As I got older, I no longer needed it as much. I never really struggled with any of my schoolwork.
My biggest struggle in school was understanding simple directions and common sense.
I often need confirmation and directions repeated so that I understand what is being asked of me.
Overall the school system was really helpful through all of my school years. I'm a senior in highschool and never felt like I didn't have access to any resources I needed.
I occasionally got a rude or ignorant teacher who was harsh to my different way of processing things, but that's always to be expected.
@GwydionRowan for me it was difficult when we were said to present a ppt on our chemistry ch 4 it was really hectic though O completed it successfully hah
