@zhrelaya

I also tend to get test anxiety. In my experience, it has helped me to make sure I have eaten and gotten hydrated before the exam. As well as a doing some deep breathing exercise before! What about the exam makes you the most anxious? 💜

I used to get very nervous for large-scale exams, also afraid that my mind will draw a blank or that I spend too much time on one question and that I won't be able to finish the entire exam in the required time. Then, it got to a point where I realized that my nervousness came because I wasn't that well-prepared for it. I worked on studying more efficiently and having more confidence that I know the material. I usually do something relaxing before the exam, rather that be deep breathing, or even listening to a favourite song. There's no point in doing any last minute reading/studying before the exam, because by then, if I don't know the material, reading it over the last minute will just make me doubt myself in what I've already studied for. I usually get nervous before the exam, so I'd always have to use the washroom, in my case, I wouldn't hydrate myself before, so that I won't need go visit the washroom during the exam (some exams don't allow you to leave the room).

Be confident that you've done enough studying, that you will do your best to answer all the exam questions. Sometimes, the more we think that we'll forget everything, the more likely that we will believe that. So, do try to change that mindset. Think the opposite, think that you remember all the material you've studied, and that you'll be able to answer every question!~

Exam anxiety is a very common issue. There are many people who struggle with this. Is there anything you have done that helps you feel even a little less anxious?

@zhrelaya That is a great strategy for calming your anxiety! Perhaps you could try expanding on that by taking some time to yourself before exams to listen to the waves, do some breathing exercises, etc. The poster below had some great options for things that might go well in conjunction with the calming sounds.

hiya! you should try to relax yourself completely first. make sure your environment is clean and so is your mind. practice some breathing exercises and body scans. take a walk and practice being in the present and focusing on your senses. then make a priority list so you can tackle one problem at a time. don't beat yourself as you are doing your best and this is a small speckle of time in your life and it wont dictate anything! best of luck!!!!!
