How Long have to stayed away from the choice of your drug voluntarily? How has been your Journey during it?

I have stayed nearly 14 years away from alchohol. Its been good and bad somedays. Somedays i feel one peg wont harm me. The rest i try to fill my mind with hate about booze. Its not easy. The Key is to be afraid of the life you will get if you relapse. I think what do you think?

nearly 2 years not speaking to or seeing my abusive partner
nearly 2 years of not allowing myself to be used or be treated like nothing
nearly 2 years of claiming my body and soul back
