losing faith
im a christian cis girl dating an athiest genderfluid person..theyre my partner. so often i see people condemning and hating on lgbtq+ and ik for a fact i would never come out to my family. but when i see all this hate and disgust for people like us and seeing lines like "hate the sin not the sinner" makes my heart physically hurt. all you ever learn is homophobia. my country had a gay pride parade and the comments were just filled with hate i saw only one or two supporting comments and just thinking..if God doesnt accept me and im going to ***..i kinda dont wanna fight it. i catch myself saying "so what if i go to *** for all eternity i can do with the pain." sometimes im ok with it because its basically guaranteed my partner will go to h*** for not believing.theyre an amazing person. but if i went to heaven id forget all about them, my life is just ***.i think about going back to my self destructive habits alot. i barely pray and open my Bible. sometimes if i think about people hating my sexuality i just imagine me e*ding it and making it known it was because of homophobia to make everyone feel horrible. if i cant love who i love honestly why live.
@qtaruinket
Their is a lot of stigma still out there. I am frustrated by people who hate on people just because of their sexuality. People need to worry about more important things than sex..🌲
@qtaruinket I'm sorry to hear you're hurting so much. Please, don't let this hate get to your head and turn into a destructive force. You don't deserve this. There is absolutely nothign wrong about your love. You are not hurting anyone, you are doing no harm. You are showing another person empathy, support, closeness, affection and care, and that's what love is about, whatever gender the other person identifies as or whatever body parts they have. Why would a body part suddenly turn something sweet, warm and beautiful into something bad?
And yes, it's important to stay safe, so you don't have to come out to your family or anyone else right now, not until you feel confident and safe enough to do it. And if it's never safe, if you have to keep this part of yourself hidden from people who would harm you because of it, there's shame in it. You should care for you safety and your happiness and find a way to balance the two. You should love whoever you love, and be a safe place for each other, a source of support, care, affection for the one you love. Whatever values you hold, like altruism, solidarity, doing to others as you would have them do unto you, you can keep living by those values.
Whoever hates on you for being in love is not being a very loving person at all. They are bringing a pain into you life that you don't deserve. Please, whatever happens, never let anything or anyone make you turn to self-harm, or make you believe that you are not worthy of happiness and love. That would not make them less hateful, that would only deprive you of the chance to live a fulfilling life as you deserve.
Stay strong. Whatever your beliefs are, there is not one good reason, ever, to hate who you are.
