Post your questions for Anna-Kate & Lisa!! :)
Do you like Pina-Colada's and getting caught in the rain?
@goldenArrow79 one of the best questions
@emsworld Thank you Ems. I appreciate it. It's hard being an arrow that's golden. I didn't ask for it, I just woke up like this.
@goldenArrow79 "I'm not into health foods, I am into champagne"
Its a song in case you think Golden and I are being too silly :)
@AnnaKateMillerLCSW
Omg! She replied to me. *faints* :) Thanks Anna. Glad you have a great sense of humor. Thanks for being here. :)
@goldenArrow79 You have to stay positive and have fun! Thanks for the fun question- now I'll be singing that in my head all afternoon.
Thanks for having us!
Can a client get a medical record of the sessions and assessments to be transferred to their local doctor/therapist or keep a copy as proof of receiving therapy online with how many hours was involved?
@Encircle We don't copy messages but you can ask your therapist and we can send their notes after we get a release.
The terms of services says that 7cups doesn't verify credentials. Surely something is done in an attempt to verify someone is actually a professional. What are these steps?
What exactly should a member do to ensure a therapist is properly qualified?
@AffyAvo
Therapist partner with 7 Cups so we do as much as we can to make sure they will provide quality care. We have a vetting process which includes looking at their professional licenses to make sure its active and without discplinary action, their education and their work experience. We want to make sure your getting the best care. I also look through reviews and feedback.
Presubmitted question from the community - how make sure to find the right therapist? since we can only switch once? Is there any option for someone who have more trouble to find the right fit?
All therapists
Does someone need to know what they want out of therapy before they start? I
@Trekkie1999
It was really courageous of you to reach out here as I know that was a really big step for you to express yourself here! :) Your therapist will help you to identify how you're feeling and there is no need to feel embarassed of afraid of your therapist getting frustrated at you because we as therapists' just want to help you! Pushing down emotions is really difficult and it's important to let them out just like you've done here. It's a positive sign that you're aware you need therapy and your therapist is there to listen and never to judge you. Therapy is really good at helping people to identify emotions and express themselves in a safe space where you can feel confident that your therapist cares about helping you reach a more positive space :)
Big thank you to Anna-Kate & Lisa!! This was awesome!!!
