Mental stress can cause us not to be able to see the good things in life and lead to excessive rumination or worries which can result in serious health problems. If you have serious, long-term problems with negative thinking and feeling depressed, see your doctor or talk to a therapist if they are related to any mental challenges.

I practice Japanese walking and find it very helpful to keep me fit, especially my heart. Another benefit is that I get outside and can connect with nature, which supports my emotional well-being.

Interesting English sentence construction. If "Japanese walking" was not the latest feel-good, your sentence "I practice Japanese walking" could be understood as "I practice Japanese while I walk".
If a Japanese person talks about this exercise, BTW, they call it ウォーキング which a borrowed word from English (pron: uokingu). This points to the idea that the concept is probably NOT Japanese, just that it became popular there recently.

Do you already have a walking routine, and how does it help you?
Yes. It helps me bc I’m getting outside, getting fresh air and bright sunlight, nature, but it’s also giving me the same benefits as people get from the aforementioned Japanese walking that do that.
If you do not have a walking routine, how could it be beneficial to you?
I can’t directly answer it since I have a walking routine so here I’ll just say that I don’t always walk bc sometimes I jog, or run, or ride my bike. But when the weather is too extreme (hot/humid or ice cold/freezing) or a storm is happening and any of these factors can make being outside difficult or even make walking, jogging, running, or bike riding impossible especially if there’s too much snow or something like that, I walk around the house just as a way to get my daily exercise routine in so it’s not skipped just bc of outside/weather conditions.
