Many of us can remember the time when we have been fully absorbed by a a book and just don’t want to put the book down because you’re too anxious to know what happens next. Reading can provide enjoyment, pleasure and of course education. It can be an escape from boredom and stress.

What genres do you like to read the most?

Getting lost in a book can have many benefits, here are some of them:


  • Reading makes us think and feel in new and different ways

  • Reading can help us to experience a feeling of belonging

  • Reading strengthens your brain.

Hello, I like information and have gotten to an age where my eyes don't see well enough to read books with small print and large print books are scarce and hard to find. However, I get my Listen on with audible books or online reading where I can adjust the fonts.

I don't allow that to stop me from being informed or seeking out new info.

I'm thankful that these days we have all the innovations like audio books when reading becomes difficult. Nice that you don't let anything stop you from learning!

Btw have you considered to use a "free text to speech" online converter?

I started again recently! I used to be an avid reader, I then stopped as I did not have peace and quiet. Then i realised i can properly switch off, o can fond the time... i made the quiet space for myself! To do the things I used to enjoy

@amiablePeace77 I really love to read thrillers, sometimes romance. Usually whatever interests me I'll read! It's important to never judge a book by its cover!! 😀

I so agree, some books have the less appealing covers but the most valuable contents!
