Coping with spring challenges
As we hit the middle of spring, with longer days and warmer weather, you might be feeling some extra energy and a sense of renewal. This part of the year can be pretty tough. Lots of you who are at school are probably thinking about summer or graduation. Others might feel overwhelmed with all the work that comes with spring cleaning or work that has to be done around the house. As your energy starts to fade, the stress from exams, final projects, job hunting, or figuring out your next steps can definitely pile up. It’s almost like the pressure just keeps growing right when you’re feeling low on stamina.

Seeking Help
Mental stress can cause us not to be able to see the good things in life and lead to excessive rumination or worries, which can result in serious health problems. If you have serious, long-term problems with negative thinking and feeling depressed, see your doctor or talk to a therapist if they are related to any mental challenges.

Spring energises me.
Better weather.
No rain.
Beautiful colours.
I'm a winter person at heart, warm fires, and dark evenings , just my vibe, but in spring , I can reset and get things done.
Cleaning is therapeutic for me.
I love seeing something worked through.
Progress 💜

"Cleaning is therapeutic for me". I find so too, Amanda, and there is some scientific proof for it as well. Apparently the movements, like when dusting and moving the cloth slowly from one direction into the other (like also moving garden hoses when watering 😮), impact the brain in a positive way!

Spring has not been a challenge as far as I can remember. Sure, plans were made for summer vacation but normally, the weather was nice and the electric bill was lower. I had a garden to plant or seed but that was a joy, including maintenance "yardening".

What helps you to cope effectively with spring challenges?
Seeing the sun and the sunlight every morning when I’m opening the shades.
Does spring make you feel better? How?
Yes definitely. The sun gives me more energy and motivation to go outside and stay out during the day and since it’s daytime longer or feels like it is, I stay out a lot longer.
Spring is my most favorite season. I love it so much. But, I understand that everyone has different needs. I think a good start would be respecting everyone's seasonal triggers, struggles, and joys! ❄️ 🌧️ ☔ 🌺 ☀️ 🧡 🐈⬛
I love spring. The warmer temps, sunshine, no snow, the woods are getting green, the birds are singing.
The work load increases though. mowing , weeds, trying to get the garden going, cutting trees down and milling them. It does get overwhelming and I'm often still trying to finish up at 10pm. But I try to give myself an hour a night to do something that relaxes me

I know what you mean, even if my day is chaotic and tiring, I need something to do in the evenings to unwind before even thinking of sleeping or relaxing 🥰

@Amanda84 I'm glad you take that time for yourself! 😊 It makes a difference doesn't it? 💜
@mytwistedsoul
It absolutely does 💙
