Staying present series Part 2 of 4

When you live in the moment, you are fully present and aware of the emotions and thoughts that you have right now. However, staying present is not always easy for us and there are many reasons why we find it difficult to stay in the now.
It's easy for us to get caught up in our thoughts about the past or the future. Our minds wander, and we often catch ourselves thinking about other things. If we're not careful, these daydreams can quickly turn into worries and catastrophizing, creating crises where there really are none.
Here is a techniques to ground yourself to stay present:
Sensory exercise
Become aware of what you are seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching without judgment, then labeling them and letting the sensations pass.
Participation question:
- How did you feel when focusing on your senses during the exercise?

- How did you feel when focusing on your senses during the exercise? I feel like another part of me is awake and I am not lost in thought.
Did you notice any mind-wandering? I did see the mind wander but I gently brought it back to the senses as a focus and the mind stayed focused there for a little bit.
@soulsings
It's good to have something that helps not to get lost in thought!
@amiablePeace77 I agree.
