Diagnosed with Pneumonia and now on antibiotics:(
Hey yall, I'm on antibiotics and I'm flipping out about it. So back story, I've has a cough for the last month. Fri before last I went in to the er while I was doing a 3 day event photoshoot and they found some stuff in my lungs. I didn't wait around, took forever. So my primary looked at it and said, "yep get in" so I did. New xrays show pneumonia. So I'm on amoxicillin 3x a day, azithromycin 1x a day and I'm on that for 5 days.
Now amoxicillin I've never had thay high of a dose, and that's scary.
But azithromycin I don't remember ever using this and the loading dose was scary. I did it though. Made me feel real gross.
I swear every time I take the antibiotics I feel nasty for a bit but I'm feeling alright now. Kinda. I'm freaking of potentially having tummy issues. I'm worried about not getting better. I have so much on my mind. :( I dunno how to calm my head. Not to mention azithromycin stays in your system for a long time:(
Just needed to vent.

Hi Raven, I can see that you are overwhelmed and I get why that maybe. It is understandably challenging to be put on a high dose but often the doses differ greatly from person to person based on factors such as age, sex and the condition of course.
I do not have the knowledge to comment on whether or not the dose makes sense, nor can we give out such advice on 7 Cups. Since this is distressing you, it may be an idea to call your doctor or pharmacist to help get some clarity as they can provide an explanation that may offer you some relief.
I hope you feel better soon
@rebelraven35 It's certainly understandable to feel concerned about medication and when already not feeling well anxiety can be difficult to manage.
I like to ask my doctor or pharmacist how to manage side effects, sometimes eating certain foods and avoiding others can be beneficial when on antibiotics.
For things lasting days I like distractions like a good tv show to put anxiety to the side when I have already done what I can do to manage any issues.
@rebelraven35 I am sorry you face medical challenges, Hoping for a speedy recovery.
I have read that the biome in the digestive track is disrupted by antibiotics. A friend takes probiotics when they have to take antibiotics. It helps them restore the digestive track and they eat healthy and that helps too.
