@soulsings
My favorite sport is and always was Squash. I was a very devoted player but had to stop when I moved to a different place (lack of opportunities to play). Today, I like dancing competitions and occasionally watch them.
@amiablePeace77 I played squash and tennis before but those have dropped away. Now Tai Chi is the oly sport I practice.
@soulsings tennis does look like fun😁 I'm gonna go look up what squash is in a moment ❤
@soulsings
I believe in age Tai Chi or similar is much better, especially if you have to be careful with your knees like me.
@amiablePeace77 the key for me doing Tai Chi is to never turn my knee, foot, and leg independent of each other. They are turned as one unit from the waist. Check out this video that does Tai Chi walking https://youtu.be/8rN5h9-YW-0?feature=shared
Notice that in the video his leg, knee, and foot are all in the same line. The knee is not torqued. When the foot turns it is almost empty of all weight. Turning the foot with weight in that leg can torque the knee.
Also notice that the stance is not like walking a tightrope. The feet are apart when he gets to the stable forward stance with 70% of the weight on front foot and 30% on the back.
I used to turn with weight in the front foot and got knee pain. Now I walk as above and am pain free. The principle is the knee is built to go only in one angle in line with foot and leg. Trying to do other kinds of angles when I Tai Chi walk can result in tourquing the knee/
This foot work is used by the teachers of Yang Style Tai Chi.
@soulsings
Thank you for sharing that link soul. These are great instructions and can prevent that the knee gets hurt. I need to be careful with my knees.
@soulsings longboarding, surfing or snowboarding. I usually watch it a couple times a week on YouTube.
I don't do it much anymore. My custom setup longboard I worked hard to find to suit me was stolen, and my snowboard was taken (Along with a bunch of other sentimental and important things.) by some ex pos landlord.
Now the longboard I use isn't really suitable...an ex gifted it to me because it was basically cheap, not because it suits me or I enjoy riding it and I don't live anywhere near the ocean.
@communicativePond1728 nice Portugal is famous for a beach with 80 foot waves in the winter. That looks like riskingyour life.
@communicativePond1728 your a dare devil😁❤
@Tinywhisper11 omw to shake the devil's tree. With axe.
@soulsings ok so I have learnt about all kinds of different sports, but never played any. I think volley ball looks the funnest😁
I wonder if I could play golf🤔🤔 just not sure what handicap I am♿😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@Tinywhisper11 you might be able to watch sports if interested. Golf puts me to sleep
@soulsings not really I find watching any sport will put me to sleep😂😂
@soulsings Football! I watch tournament games, like right now the EUROs. I have a real passion for it. Not just following it, but also tactically in terms of understanding an analyzing what happens. I still play it, at an amateur level of course 😜, as well!
@soulsings my favorite sport is softball! i play on my school’s team and any town team that takes me in. i love it :)
