I like to meditate when I’m having a rough day. Also seeing my grand babies always perks me up.

Good to have a variety of things to find inner peace again when things are rough! Sometimes just waiting it out can be a great way to deal with challenging situations.

I can see that having that kind of confidence in yourself gives peace. Painting is one of the most soothing activities I know.

What helps you to find peace in rough times?
Not included in this question are the people who are actually caught in a war and burying their children.
If we are away from any strife and warfare, peace is actually a personal need with many aspects. It can simply be quiet, no particular worry, reading, watching a show, knowing that you have done what needed doing, a general absence of danger, and the list can go on.
"Rough times" also take many shapes and what is "rough" for some might well be an ordinary way of life for others. Is it just rough for you or are others having the same rough time? You do what you can to be at peace with yourself and depending on your personality... with people around you.
If you are a resentful, vengeful person who finds satisfaction in hurting others, you will never have peace.

When I have rough times they are often made worse if I am hungry or tired so my first line of defense is to have a good meal or a nap.
I feel sorry for those living in a war zone or facing famine or other problems. No one should have to live under those condiitions. I hoipe we can help each other more and stop trying to make enemies. We all want to be happy and free of suffering.

Asking yourself first if you might need to eat or just nap is a good idea!
It is very sad that man causes themselves so much suffering just because of greed, the desire to control and lack of compassion (to mention just a few). So many innocent people are affected.
