From Hopeless to Hopeful
Sometimes the morning just looks grey and feels heavy. Without a motivating force, we might not even want to get out of bed.
Hope is something you can cultivate yourself. Of course, some living conditions can make it harder, there is no doubt about it. Something that helps me to get up and face the day with hope is thinking about one thing or task during the day that gives me pleasure like for example doing something new in my garden or knowing this is the day I will finish a work which took some time.
What do you do to change from hopeless to hopeful, what helps?

I journal my thoughts in a diary. I also like to doodle or do some art. That's how I come out of this hopeless state. By doing these activities, I can see the potential in me. Though I may have made some mistakes, it doesn't necessarily mean I am incapable. It just means that I may be good at something but bad at something else. Thus, I cannot be good at everything.
One lesson I have learned from life is that our struggles are actually helpful. They help us be patient. And it also makes us learn acceptance. Nobody is completely perfect without any problems or struggles. We all struggle in different ways.

This has been a challenge for me because the thing I used to look forward to every day was seeing my girlfriend and knowing that someone really cared for me. She left me about a month and a half ago and now I’ve felt pretty hopeless almost every day.
If I had to say something that makes me look forward to getting up in the morning it would be listening to some good relaxing music. Sometimes I look forward to the rare chance that one of my “friends” would actually hang out with me today or at least just come to talk to me. Usually that doesn’t happen though, so I sit alone, listen to music in my headphones, and try to convince myself that I’m happy this way.

Sorry to hear about your breakup. It hurts when you do not see the loved one, you're used to see every day anymore and healing takes time. Good that music helps you to feel better, but it would be nice to have other things to focus on as well so that your mind is not constantly going back to the old times, and you can't focus on anything else. What are things you did outside your relationship that you enjoyed?
Btw. have you tried to call one of your friends or do you usually wait until they call you?
