Being sleep deprived doesn't do our health any favors.

  • Do you feel you're getting enough rest or are you feeling tired often or even all the time?
  • How often do you take naps and does that help?

Do you feel you're getting enough rest or are you feeling tired often or even all the time?

With insomnia and chronic nightmares, sleep's not a friend. Don't remember the last time I've actually slept more than a few hours a night and it's definitely starting to affect my health along with everything else.

How often do you take naps and does that help?

I don't, really. They wouldn't help anyway, cause I need a lot stronger measures than just naps these days.

@OneErased oh that is too bad you have trouble sleeping. Is it something you have always had or just started a while back?

I use youtube relaxing videos to help me sleep. Part of the reeason I have trouble sleeping is tension in my body so stretching helps me relax.

I have a sister that takes sleep medication and she seems to cope better with that.

Hope you find ways to manage to keep healthy.

@soulsings

I've pretty much had it since I got disabled in an accident, really. The sleepless times usually come on waves with some ease in between, bit the ease hasn't come for a long time now. Nothing really helps in it. I'm on sleeping pills right now but they cause all different kinds problems.

I can see how stretching would help in that situation, and I'm glad you found that useful, as well as listening to the relaxing videos.

@OneErased sorry for the troubles that have happened since the accident. Trauma can make things seem hopeless sometimes, but I try to stay hopeful that change is possible and I still hold out hope in those situations.

If you want links to any exercises you might like to try or music let me know here or in PMs.

My friend has the psych doctor prescribe meds that induce relaxation. Glad they have a psychiatrist.

@soulsings

I find when I do brief exercises 3 times a day, take a break after lunch and portion my physical work I feel much more energetic. Drinking enough water and eating healthy also helps.  Something that makes me tired is worrying about things that are out of my control.

  • Do you feel you're getting enough rest or are you feeling tired often or even all the time? i honestly feel tired even when i sleep well, especially at school.
  • How often do you take naps and does that help? i have started taking more naps lately, but that's because of an irregular sleep schedule. sometimes they help, sometimes they don't though.

@4Jasmine I sometimes sleep too much and am drowsy.

What works better for me is to sleep 6-7 hours and then in PM I may do short nap and that keeps me going.

Do you feel you're getting enough rest or are you feeling tired often or even all the time?

Sometimes I feel like I am getting enough sleep but sometimes I feel like I am drained even through I got a good night's sleep.

How often do you take naps and does that help?

I really don't take naps during the day. If I do nap during the day I normally sleeping two hours during the day.  Napping can sometimes help me but sometimes it does not help me. Since it will make me more active at night and it would be hard for me to fall back to sleep.

@lovingRainbows2088 I hear you  long naps keep me awake at night so 20-30 minute naps with an alarm works well.
