Usually my grandson is around, so we have a few activities together, but otherwise, as a pensioner, there is not much to do.
Sundays in the French countryside are quiet, because no stores are opened (bakeries and supermarket only till noon). Most people stay home or go on visits.
In my town a lot of people attend the church service because it's a way to meet others rather than because of religious convictions. It's about 2/3 full most Sundays, but in the summer, it's totally congested with people standing in the aisles. We have the scouts, the tourists, vacationers who own property in the area.
I do not go every Sunday, but I work for the sacristy to keep all the linens in order and repair textile decorations. I occasionally take home vessels in need of polishing.

Sounds very similar to here Fradiga. Sundays are for church and visiting family.
I could imagine you enjoy the quiet time in the countryside after a busy summer with lots of people around!

Yes. I don't mind people around, but I enjoy the quiet after that 😀
I complete my pending assignments, pray, and even crochet when I get free time.

@amiablePeace77 I spend most trying to either numb myself, give in to unhealthy impulses, and try to not crash beyond repair.

I am really sorry to hear this. It's good though that you're aware of your situation. Do you think talking to someone trusted, maybe a listener here could help? I find the more we numb ourselves to prevent feeling the pain the more things get pushed down, sadly they will always surface again and might make life even worse.
