Keeping Things in Perspective
When we are mentally stressed or highly emotional, we can lose perspective and start taking our problems too seriously and forget how much is going right in our lives.
- What helps you to regain perspective when you are stressed out?

@soulsings Going out in nature helps us look at the bigger picture :)
@BlueDarkAurora yes it does ❤❤
I try to remember that we're all connected to one another, to the tree of life (or maybe it's a dense bush) which connects all life on the planet to one another, and we're all connected to the planet itself. We live for a relatively short amount of time and we go on to nourish future life when we return to the Earth.
When the planet is well and its ecosystems in balance, we have ample resources, and since we're not in competition with one another out of desperation, it's much easier to have good relations, peace, and to live in balance with each other and the world around us.
Humanity has always taken care of its most vulnerable members. Evidence of caretaking is throughout the ancient human fossil record to now. Throughout human history, and especially in times of crisis, people do come together and take care of one another.
We're part of this amazing cycle of life on this beautiful planet. We're not alone. We're always connected.
@soulsings the best way to regain perspective when I'm stressed out is to carry on doing the little things that always make me smile ❤ just remembering why those things make me smile, is enough to keep me pushed in the right direction ❤

A gratitude journal helps me. I open random pages and see there's a lot to be grateful for.
Although I wanna switch to a gratitude jar. That way, I can pick up random gratitude notes when I'm sad, kind of like a fortune cookie.
@1CuriousHeart that's a good idea ❤ you know you can but motivational quotes from amazon ❤
Buy motivational quotes? That's a first. I don't think I wanna do that. I could write some for myself or get them online and print.
@1CuriousHeart @tinywhispers11
Okay here is a good deal: 1000 inspirational quotes for free
https://graciousquotes.com/1000-pdf/
They are in groups of 100 with 10 different topics so pick the one that interests you the most.
Looking at the facts, how situations really are without adding any story to them helps me to regain perspective. When I watch the news and see what is going around in the world my problems seem to appear so much smaller.
Spending some time alone in nature... And reminders I place for myself
@soulsings realising that I'm only a teen and I have so much yet to discover (also that I am not the only one going through such issues)
@soulsings
Helping others gets my mind off of myself and my stressful situations.
@4Jasmine that is a great idea and I fully agree in the benefits of caring about others.
