I started dating my boyfriend about a month or so ago. Ive been really happy, I love spending time with him, and he’s my everything. Ive liked him for a while before we started dating. The problem is I’m scared im not what he wants. Im scared that as our relationship goes on, he will become unhappy and bored with me. He is trans and has only dated other guys previously and I’m a very feminine girl, so understandably im worried I’m not what he wants.

I also have been struggling with myself personally a little bit. From my previous trauma and relationships, I struggle with hyper sexuality. Me and him haven’t done anything of that nature yet, but I always want to, to the point Ive wanted to force him onto me. Im aware this is unhealthy and I’ve managed to control myself. But for me, sex is how I define my worth in a relationship. It’s a bad habit, I want to bring it up to him, but I’m not sure how.

literally any advice is welcome I’m just so worried about everything

@inventivePineapple3023 I am glad you are getting along well with your boyfriend.

If he is interested more in talking and communicating than heavy intimacy he may be looking for a longer term relationship which sounds encouraging. Many people that just want a quick fling start out turning up the passions right away and that can be a quick flash and it's over. So maybe you could see this as a possible longer term relationship.

Some people lack confidence in their personality and so find themselves trying to fit into the romantic Hollywood image of romance that happens in a 2 hour movie. Maybe your uncertainty is fueling your idea that maybe he wants sexuality and that could make your impulses greater.

If you are not fending off his advances then maybe he just does not want an intensely passionate relationship. Some guys have not had intimacy yet and it is something that is challenging to get into. He may lack confidence. Is this something you could find out how long he has been having longer term relationships?

They say that the joy of traveling is appreciating the landscape right where you are. Whatever you are experiencing in this relationship right now can be appreciated more by not pressing for more intimacy than you are both comfortable with. Another consideration is staying safe which may mean the woman may need to be ready with precautions in case things heat up suddenly.

@inventivePineapple3023    first of all make sure that you create/continue to keep an open communication environment where if he feels anything he can share it with you. I don't think if he didn't want you then he wouldn't be there. you should communicate all of this with him. I myself have a boyfriend too. I'm sometimes very insecure and wonder if he might loose interest one day. we (bc we are only 17) haven't had sexual things happen, but both of us really want that too. so I understand. as for that part I want you to sit your man down and tell him everything your feeling. tell him you want to try some new things. ask him about everything he really feels. tell him your fears, desires, and everything else you didn't put into this message. I don't think I need to remind you to respect his boundaries but just support him bc all that is new to him.

communication is genuinely the only way a healthy relationship will work. when you don't generate that early on or don't develop that, its a sign the relationship really wont work out. there's a reason couples are called partners. partners not only take care of everything together but they take each others "burdens" upon eachother.

just talk to him.

you wont regret it.

Unfortunately the update to this is he broke up with me and told me after a month of dating that he had no romantic feelings for me
