Reading to keep mentally fit!

Our brains are powerful full tools and reading is one of the best mental exercises to keep them fit.
Reading cannot only help to destress and teach your brain to function well but reading will also help you to continuously learn new things.
Do you have a reading routine like reading for example 1 page every day?
What are you reading currently and how does it benefit you?

I def don't have a routine but I love to read! It is a much needed escape and comfort after the stresses of the day. I usually pick a fairy tale retelling or a fantasy book to really help me leave the world behind.
@neatBlueberry5213 glad you find comfort in reading.

I don't have a routine and reading doesn't help much brain a lot. But I do like it and I do wanna set some goals for the rest of the year. So, I kinda decided today to try read two books a month - something I've managed ok before. One book this month since moving and all.
It's not a big goal when you're supposed to have life goals and all, but I guess it's a start.

It might not feel like a big goal to you but the benefits of reading 2 books a months can be surprisingly good!
@OneErased that is a great goal. I built up a routine just from successfully starting one thing. If one book a month is too much do one every 2 months. Set the goal so you can succeed you can always raise the bar later.

I am currently reading "Killing the black body" by Dorothy E. Roberts - a really heavy book but a must read for anyone interested in racism in female autonomy and health!
