Our brains are powerful full tools and reading is one of the best mental exercises to keep them fit.

Reading cannot only help to destress and teach your brain to function well but reading will also help you to continuously learn new things.

Do you have a reading routine like reading for example 1 page every day?

What are you reading currently and how does it benefit you?

@amiablePeace77

I read 1 to 2 comic book a day. Keeps me distracted.

@Gettingbettertoday

I think it's easier to get lost in comic books than in some others because of the pictures. Our brains love pictures 😃, guess some sort of hardwiring for visual content.

I'm busy with work and school, so when I have downtime, I make the effort to read my course books. This is made easier by my tablet, since I can easily take it everywhere. I figure that it's a better use of my time than playing games.

Reading the course books makes more sense to me as well!

Do you have a reading routine like reading for example 1 page every day? That is about my speed a page or two a day if it is something weighty.

What are you reading currently and how does it benefit you? I am reading the story of a woman who lost her daughter to cancer at about age 6. It is an inspiring story of fortitude and the strength of the human spirit. I will do more than a page a day.

@soulsings

Sounds like a very moving story. Some books are very helpful to gain a better understanding of what others go through.

I don't really have a routine. I read whenever I feel like it after work, and of course on weekends. I read a LOT.

I tend to read more than one book at a time, so I'm currently reading The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery, and volume 12 of the manga ***'s Paradise. ^^

I do not have a reading routine. I usually read when I get to squeeze in some downtown , haha , how about you @amiablePeace77 ?

These days I have been reading Wings of Fire , an autobiography from A.P.J. Abdhul Kallam

Seems you like fantasy/fiction, me too! Hope you will have more time in future to read.

@amiablePeace77 I don't usually have time to sit down and read a book in which I enjoy. They're usually school assignment, but I learn to enjoy them even though there is a really strict time in which I have to finish them by, so I don't get much freedom on how much I read. But when I do get the chance, I love to finish the book as soon as possible, because I wouldn't want to stop reading

I don't do much book reading, but I listen to many audiobooks about self-help and improvement. Not sure it helps much but is still very informative.

Got too down to earth to read novels since decades ago. I read biographies rather if I read BOOKS. I'd rather read about international politics, history, news articles and commentaries these days. If I want to wind down, I will work on a sudoku. In fact, when a 7cups chat is too slow, I have a sudoku tab open :D

@Fradiga I also do not read fiction. I prefer to read about people and how they overcame challenges.
